The Wimbledon Public Ballot, first launched in 1924, is intended to be the fairest means of obtaining tickets for The Championships. Entry into the Wimbledon Public Ballot does not automatically entitle applicants to tickets, but to a place in the draw.
We do not offer preferential treatment to any ballot applicants (e.g., those who have been entering for multiple years). Successful applicants and the day/court/seat location they have been selected for are chosen by an automated selection process, based on the best tickets available at the time.
The Championships is an oversubscribed event, and we aim to keep the Wimbledon Public Ballot as fair as possible. As in previous years, we will only accept one application for up to two tickets per household.
